The new Renault 5 EV has just been revealed and someone already crashed it
The Christmas stars of road safety have been revealed by Euro NCAP
The new Renault 5 EV is among more than a dozen new vehicles to have been put through rigorous tests by road safety association Euro NCAP.
Other models tested include the Renault’s sports-focused sister model from Alpine, the A290, as well as new SUVs such as the Hyundai Santa Fe, Volvo EX30, Lexus LBX and Porsche Macan, along with the new Audi A5.
Euro NCAP awarded the Renault four out of five stars, saying it was let down slightly by its crash protection for adult occupants.
Dr. Michiel van Ratingen, secretary general of Euro NCAP, said: “Many manufacturers remain steadfast in their commitment to improving road safety, integrating advanced technologies, and prioritising the protection of all road users. Euro NCAP continues to support and guide these efforts.”
